I love my job. I know everyone says it and honestly, I believe wedding photographers mean it. It's not the easiest gig in the world so why would you do it if you don't love it right? But what it means for you, is that every time I show up to a wedding, I'm happy about it. I have never a day in my career dreaded going to work (for those of you who do, I am so sad about that for you!! I can't even imagine) No matter what's going on in my life at the time of your wedding it all gets left behind the minute I pack up my gear and head out to see you. I am excited about your day. It doesn't matter where you're getting married, what your budget is, truly. I am excited to come to and document your wedding as your photographer.

I am emotional. Why is this important as your wedding photographer? Because I know how special those emotional moments are. Sometimes you don't even know they are happening until you get your image gallery back. Because I know how important the little moments are I also know it's important to document them while allowing them to happen. I never want to interrupt a moment while I'm capturing it.

I'm calm. While it may be true that there could be a million things happening in my brain all at once, you will never know. Your wedding day is a huge event with a ton of moving parts and sometimes things don't quite go as planned. Sometimes shifts need to be made in timing or sometimes bigger things happen (like that time the groom forgot his shirt) and if I can stay calm, I can keep you calm. I am flexible and we will navigate the day as it unfolds. We're still going to get all that we set out to get, sometimes we have to take a different path. It's okay. I got you.

I love authenticity. I want to photograph you on your wedding day as authentically as you are!! (and trust me, you want that too) I want to capture all of the moments, the laughs, the silent moments, sometimes there are some sad moments and I love the genuine romantic moments. It's my job to create space for you to be comfortable enough to allow those moments to happen. I said once to a groom, make her laugh. She looked at me and said, but he's not the funny one. That was funny, we laughed, a lot.

I am bossy! Okay, I'm not bossy in real life, I promise. Sometimes on a wedding day when the timeline is tight and the wedding party is huge we have to rally the troops and get the job done. Most couples when they call me say, we need direction, we don't know what we're doing. Of course you don't and that's okay. It's my job to control the time we have. That's what I am, in control (you want this from your wedding photographer, trust me) Using your time efficiently on your wedding day is important.
Also fun fact, I'm an introvert. No really, I am. Most people don't realize this on their wedding day because my confidence comes through, and it has to. I get the job done and then I go home and have a nap for two days.

I am inclusive. I should have started with this one because it's so important to me. I have been an ally all my life and the fact that we need to keep saying this in 2026 (as I write this) is beyond me. But here we are. Now, more than ever it needs to be said. I am not just inclusive for the LGBTQ community, I believe love is love no matter who you are. And we could use a little more love in our lives.

I love pretty things. You can be sure that all the important details of your wedding will be documented. I'm also sentimental so it's in those details where you carry your most treasured things with you on your wedding day. They are important to you, so they are important to me.

I love to have fun! You have spent so much time perfecting the perfect wedding day. It's finally here and you should be able to enjoy every second of it. Having fun is part of the day and I want to document you in all of your authentic, fun glory!!

Your privacy matters! Some people don't want their faces on the internet. I will honour that, no questions asked.

I'm always on time and it's my job to keep you on time too. Of course, there are things I can't control. I have no control over hair and makeup timing, limo's etc but I will make sure we leave when we need to and arrive when we need to. Sometimes the situation means we work quickly and sometimes we can work slowly. I will set timers so you can relax and let me worry about watching the clock.

I am super protective of you. On your wedding day, I really want your day to be perfect. Not just the photography portion of things, all of it. If I can help by making things smoother for you, I will do all that I can. Sometimes this means sewing something! Sometimes it means lending you my sweater because something you need to sit down on is dirty. I will definitely tell people to move out of your photos (tourists can be plenty in some Niagara Region locations!) There are times I have driven couples in my car just so they can have some time to themselves. I will always do my best to help keep things running smoothly.

Sunsets are awesome. While not all wedding days will have traditional sunsets and not all locations are super sunset friendly, we take advantage of what we get. It's at this point most couples are happy to escape the reception for a few minutes to catch their breath and reconnect as a couple.

Sometimes it rains. Sometimes your wedding weather isn't ideal. Of course it's a bummer when it's not the "perfect" outcome or what you have planned but I can tell you this, we will have a plan. I won't panic. There are a lot of fun and creative things to do when days take us on a different path.

I want to do cool stuff. I don't want your entire album to look the same. Of course not all of your photos can be crazy lighting and smoke, but some of them sure can. Before I go home, we will head out for one last shot! Let's create some fun, unique wedding photos together.

You are important to me, even after your wedding day. I am grateful to be a busy photographer. Here in Niagara Falls, we are a tourist town and a border town so I photograph so much more than weddings. We have conferences that come from all over the world where I photograph corporate events. We have endless amounts of elopements in Niagara and even more than that, Niagara Falls is a proposal hot spot. Yes, I get the opportunity to photograph couples from all over the world who are starting the journey that you are on. This means, I am working almost every day, camera in hand. This also means I'm editing, a lot. I want your photos out to you quickly. I know how important it is for you to get your images back and share them with your friends and family. It's important to me too. I will always have your weddings to you in a timely manner. I promise, I won't let the excitement of your wedding day fade!

I will help you with your timeline. And any other info you need along the way. I definitely recommend you get a wedding planner (ask me, I know a bunch!) You can hire someone to help you ahead of time or even a "day of" coordinator. If a planner isn't in your budget, that's okay! I will help you in any way I can. I am more than happy to sit down and write a time line with you. This is one of the first things you need to do and it's a crucial step in your planning. I am also more than happy to refer vendors. I have worked with so many amazing officants, florists, hair and makeup artists and transportation companies over the years.

I suck at talking about myself. That has nothing to do with me as your wedding photographer. In the interest of transparency (I am brutally honest) I had to sit down and white a blog post with lots of words. Why...because that's how Google rates websites! Also according to market research, the current generation looking for wedding vendors is looking for a connection with their vendors, Well this is super because had you read my bio??!! I am all about connection. Over the years things have changed significantly. How we advertise and how we work is completely different from when I started. What I do love, is we are going back to old school times where couples actually want to meet face to face or at the very least hop on a phone call. I love this. I think connecting with your vendors is key in the success of your wedding day.
If we aren't in alignment and you want to take a different direction in regards to photography, I'm not offended. I sincerely want you to find someone who's the perfect fit for you. I want your wedding day to be amazing, with or without me in it.

Some things you should know about me, as your wedding photographer

If your looking to propose in Niagara Falls and are looking for somewhere private and unique (bonus if you love wine!) then <a href="https://www.chateaudescharmes.com/">Chateau Des Charmes</a> winery in Niagara on the Lake is a gorgeous option. This beautiful winery will host your proposal and all you have to do is show up (don't forget the ring!)
The wine cellar is an intimate place to pop the question. Rose petals, candles and your favorite sparkling beverage. If you think you want to propose in your own private cabana that's a great summer time option as well.
Often people come to Niagara with limited flexibility in their dates and weather can play a factor in how your day will end up. Choosing a vineyard to host your proposal is a great option as it's always weather friendly. We have indoor options as well as outdoor options when it comes to popping the question and your photo session afterward.
The customer service you will receive for your private proposal is first class. You won't be disappointed.

If you traveling to Niagara Falls and have considered having your family photos done while you're here, it's a great idea!!! Whether you are coming just with your own family or bringing the entire group along, it's never a bad idea to capture some fun moments by the Falls. Niagara Falls has some great spots including this park, Oaks Garden Theatre. It's a popular location for proposing, getting married, having a simple picnic or capturing those fleeting family memories.

If you are looking at other areas in Niagara that aren't on the Falls I am happy to give some suggestions. Niagara is home to a ton of parks and landmarks that make amazing backdrops for your next vacation, family photo session.

This past winter I had the pleasure of photographing Jessica and Brent's destination wedding in Cancun Mexico. Everything about this wedding was magic. The Mexico sun was perfect, the beach ceremony was a dream and their outdoor destination celebration under twinkle lights and the moon with 80 of their closest friends, was a night to remember.
Is was just like every other wedding in that all of the elements were there. I was there for Jessica's bridal prep. Her hair and makeup, her gown and dressing details. Then we headed for a private first look of her future husband and their children. I captured this emotional moment surrounded by palm trees in a quiet area of their resort.

Jessica was stunning in her gown with her cathedral veil. She brought her professional hair and makeup stylist with her so she knew just what to expect.

They said "I do" in front of their closest family and friends at Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach on the water and then celebrated the night away at their catered reception under the stars. The night was complete with a late night visit to the on site disco. <a href="https://www.iberostar.com/" aria-invalid="true">Iberostar</a> was the perfect host. Their coordinator was amazing to work with and was so accommodating. Their on site team of videographers were some of my favorite I've worked with!
It's no secret I love the heat but beyond that this was hands down one of my favorite weddings that I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of.
It was fun, romantic, intimate, and adventurous! A thousand times over I would recommend a destination wedding and I would highly recommend this venue in Mexico!!

Babies experience milestone after milestone their first year of life. You will spend the first 12 months of your child's life exhausted and full of awe!
It is so much fun to photograph your babies first birthday cake smash. Every baby is completely different with their response to an entire cake being put in front of them. Some babies go right for their cake, excited about the colors and the textures while other babies are more tentative about touching the cake at all. Their unique personalities shine through on this photo worthy first.
Some first birthday cakes go home almost in tact and others end up in the studio garbage in a pile of crumbs and icing bits.
Celebrating this first birthday with photography is a great keepsake and definite memory making moment for parents.
All of my first birthday cake smashes are done on white paper as I love to make it bright and all about your baby and the cake. If you think you want to bring decorations to add to the scene you are absolutely welcome.
We will start the session with a few portraits of your one year old and then strip them down to their bare essentials and drop that cake down in front of them and watch the magic take place.
When the photography session is over you will take your baby and I will take the mess.
Everyone is sure to have a nap following this portrait session.
The studio, located in Niagara Falls is a great spot for you to come, make some core memories and leave the sugary mess behind.
Some first birthday cake smashes are done quickly and others take a little time as not all babies are ready to dig in right away or give up once they have experienced their first taste of buttercream. Either way you will have the memories to last a lifetime.

Being a proposal photographer in Niagara Falls is honestly the best job. I get to share in one of the best moments of your life! If you coming to Niagara Falls and looking to propose I know you want to have the Falls in the background of this life changing moment. Across from Queen Victoria Park is the perfect spot. I spend a lot of time helping people decide which area of the Falls they want to "pop the question" at so I figured I would create a couple of blog posts to help you on your proposal journey (check out my other blog posts on where to propose in Niagara Falls) Queen Victoria Park is a Niagara Parks property surrounding the area of the Niagara Parks Police station and right across the street from the huge water fall that is the American Falls. This is a great spot to take a knee and ask that most important question, will you marry me!! During the non peak season in Niagara Falls this spot is perfect. You can usually get parking at the Niagara Parks police station or some couples choose to walk from their Falls view hotels (please keep in mind it's not as close as it looks online and can easily be a twenty minute walk). During peak tourist months the area can get very busy so if you are looking for a little more privacy I always suggest early in the morning. You can beat the tourist rush and the sun rises at the Falls which makes for a beautiful golden hour (golden hour can mean sunrise too!) photos. If you are here in the summer months and are looking for a bit more privacy but want the Falls in the background of your proposal photos, check out my blog on Oaks Garden Theatre.
After the surprise, the yes, the tears and hugs have been given we can walk across the street to Queen Victoria Park and finish your engagement session. The rose garden is beautiful in the summer months and in the winter months the backdrop of forest is beautiful.

The majority of people who contact me for proposals are coming here on a Niagara Falls vacation. The couples who are coming usually have no idea what's around the area but know they want to propose and have the Niagara Falls in the background. This is absolutely something you can do! It's going to make a difference whether you come to Niagara in the winter, or the summer (or somewhere in between). Summer time can get pretty crazy down by the Falls and people looking to have a bit more privacy might want to head down to Oaks Garden Theatre. This Niagara Parks property is just to the left of Niagara Falls and right next to the Rainbow bridge. It's a great spot during the busy summer months because there are less people than directly in front of the Falls and parking is a little easier to navigate.
The gardens themselves are gorgeous and have a ton of variety for your engagement photos immediately following your proposal. Oaks Garden features formal gardens, a lily pond with a bridge and gorgeous architecture. There are several spots in the garden where the Niagara Falls are visible. This means you aren't limited in your options to do a proposal with a bit of privacy and Niagara Falls in the background.
Winter gets a bit trickier as the gardens aren't maintained. However, the architecture and metal gates are still a great back drop for your proposal and engagement photos.

"I am a Niagara Falls wedding, event and portrait photographer and the truth is I love my job. No, I mean I really love my job. I still cry at weddings……I can’t imagine doing anything else.

When I started it was weddings. Allllll weddings. Now, it’s so much more. My brand and I personally have evolved into something I couldn’t imagine. I am so grateful.
It is my job as a photographer to capture your most important moments. Even during a headshot or branding session I need to capture you as you are. I need to be able to tell the world in a single image a story. It has to be an authentic story; those are the only ones I want to tell.

At the end of our lives we take nothing with us but what we leave behind are the relationships we have built with those around us. For me, that includes every person I have photographed who have allowed me to be a part of their lives and for those who have allowed me to remain a part of their story.
